ORDINANCE TO EXTEND FOR AN ADDITIONAL SIX (6)
MONTHS THE MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS
FOR CONSTRUCTION OR PLACEMENT OF BUILDING
STRUCTURES WITHIN A CERTAIN AREA OF
UNINCORPORATED ST. TAMMANY PARISH IN WARD 4,
DISTRICT 10
WHEREAS, the Parish Council adopted Ordinance C.S. No. 03-0774, which imposed an
initial six (6) month moratorium on issuance of permits for construction or placement of building
structures in an area of unincorporated Ward 4, District 10; and
WHEREAS, to protect and preserve the health, safety and property interests of residents
from the adverse effects of improper drainage within a certain portion of Ward 4, District 10 of
unincorporated St. Tammany Parish, it is necessary to extend said moratorium; and
WHEREAS, extension of the initial moratorium for an additional six (6) months will allow
sufficient time for review of parish building, zoning and subdivision regulations affecting the area
more fully described within this ordinance.
THE PARISH OF ST. TAMMANY HEREBY ORDAINS that it extends for an additional
six (6) months the moratorium on the issuance of permits for the construction or placement of any
building structures on property within a certain area of unincorporated St. Tammany Parish, Ward
4, District 10, as more fully described herein and on the attached map:
An area commencing at the intersection of the Dupard Street right of
way and the Tammany Trace, also the point of beginning, thence follow
the Dupard Street right of way west northwest, to include properties
abutting both sides of said right of way, to the boundary of Greenleaves
Subdivision, thence follow the boundary line of said subdivision
northeast and east to its intersection with the Tammany Trace right of
way, thence follow the Tammany Trace right of way southwest to its
intersection with Dupard Street, also the point of beginning.
SEVERABILITY: If any provision of this Ordinance shall be held to be invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions herein which can be given effect without the invalid
provision and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby declared to be severable.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final adoption.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the moratorium herein imposed may be vacated, in
whole or in part, by Resolution of this governing body pursuant to Chapter 5, Article II, Section 5-
056.00 of the Parish Code of Ordinances.
REPEAL: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
